Fouché launched in 2014 by Claire Fouché, former couture jewelry designer for Fabergé; The Fouché aesthetic, born out of love for artistry, storytelling and craftsmanship, draws inspiration from the Art Déco buildings that Italian architects created in Africa and the modernistic African arts and textiles that first inspired Picasso’s “African Period” back in the 1920’s in Paris. The collection is crafted from natural materials by skilled artisans in Kenya and finished by hand in Europe. Fouché jewelry is coveted by inspirational women around the world, like the lovely Sienna Miller, and has featured in British, French & Brazilian Vogue, amongst other leading publications. Since 2013, Claire Fouché co-founded the Maisha Foundation to support the training of young African talent from the slum of Kibera. Fouché jewelry also provides ongoing fair-trade employment to skilled artisans in Nairobi and Kibera.
